2. These terms
These terms apply to purchases made through stovestore.ie and should be read with our Refund and Returns Policy, Delivery Information and Privacy Policy. Nothing in these terms limits rights available to consumers under Irish law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2022.
3. Products and availability
We aim to describe products accurately. Images may be illustrative and colours can vary by screen. Product specifications, dimensions, flue requirements and suitability should be checked before purchase and installation. Availability shown online is subject to confirmation. Some products are available on back-order or have supplier lead times; where this applies, we will contact you with an expected date.
4. Prices and payment
Prices displayed on the website are in euro and include VAT unless clearly stated otherwise. Delivery and any separately agreed installation or site-work charges are shown or confirmed before the order is finalised. Payment is due using one of the methods offered at checkout or otherwise agreed with us.
5. Orders and contract formation
Placing an order is an offer to buy. An automated acknowledgement confirms that we have received it but does not necessarily mean that we have accepted it. A contract is formed when we confirm acceptance or dispatch the goods. We may decline or cancel an order before acceptance where a product is unavailable, information or pricing is clearly incorrect, payment is not authorised, or delivery is not reasonably possible. If payment has already been taken, it will be refunded.
6. Delivery and collection
Online delivery is currently available within the Republic of Ireland. The base delivery charge is €15 excluding VAT (€18.45 including VAT at the current standard rate) for orders up to 15 kg, and €75 excluding VAT (€92.25 including VAT at the current standard rate) for orders over 15 kg. The exact payable charge is shown at checkout. Estimated delivery is normally within 5–30 days, depending on stock, supplier availability, product weight and destination. Full details are provided in our Delivery Information.
Please inspect goods promptly after delivery. Any visible transit damage, shortage or incorrect item should be reported as soon as reasonably possible with photographs where available. This does not affect statutory rights.
7. Cancellation, returns and refunds
Eligible consumers who buy online or by phone generally have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days after receiving the goods, subject to legal exceptions. We also provide a 30-day voluntary return period for eligible unused and uninstalled goods in their original packaging. Custom, made-to-order or installed products and completed services may be excluded where permitted by law. See our Refund and Returns Policy for the process, costs, exclusions and refund timing.
8. Faulty goods
Goods must conform to the sales contract and be of the quality and durability a consumer can reasonably expect. If goods are faulty, damaged or not as described, please contact us promptly. Remedies available under Irish consumer law may include repair, replacement, price reduction or refund, depending on the circumstances. These rights are separate from any manufacturer warranty.
9. Installation and services
Installation, surveys, chimney work and other services are only included where expressly stated in a written quotation or order confirmation. A quotation may depend on site conditions and the information supplied by the customer. Additional work found to be necessary will be explained and agreed before it is undertaken. Customers must provide safe and reasonable access to the property and disclose relevant site conditions.
Products requiring specialist installation must be installed and commissioned by a suitably qualified person in accordance with applicable regulations and manufacturer instructions. We are not responsible for defects or damage caused by incorrect third-party installation, misuse or failure to follow maintenance instructions, except where the law provides otherwise.
10. Liability
We do not exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or obligations and remedies that cannot be excluded under consumer law. We are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was made.
11. Website use and intellectual property
Website content is provided for general information and may be updated. Product names, photographs, text, logos and other content are owned by us or used with permission and may not be copied for commercial use without permission.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by Irish law. Consumers retain any mandatory protections and rights to bring proceedings available under applicable law. If a problem arises, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it promptly.
